THANKSGIVING WEEKEND

Small-town Holiday charm for the whole family!

Every year, on Thanksgiving Weekend, the community of Princeton transforms into a Wintry Wonderland during its long-running “Christmas in Princeton Thanksgiving Weekend” Celebration. The shops are decked, the streets twinkle, and merriment is shared by all.  This family-friendly festivity includes 3 days of shopping, the Lights on Water Street Parade, a tree lighting, four craft fairs throughout the town, breakfast with Santa, hot chocolate, s’ mores & more! 
Schedule of Events:
Friday, November 29

All Day: Festive shopping and dining at Princeton’s local shops and restaurants
9:00 am – 4:00 pm: Hunting Studio Glass Open House, live glass blowing demos,  art, and gifts, W5257 Oak Tree Ln.
1:00 pm – 8:00 pm: Festival of Trees, Silent Auction, Holiday Bake Sale and Second-Hand Item Sale at Community Hall in City Park
3:30 pm – 5:30 pm: Visit with Santa at the Historical Society.
4:00 pm – 6:00 pm: Holiday crafts, treats, and a movie for families– free at the Princeton Library (open until 7pm).
6:00 pm: “Lights on Water Street” Electrical Parade. Theme: Christmas in the Movies
6:30 pm: Tree Lighting, caroling, complimentary hot chocolate & cookies, City Parking Lot

Saturday, November 30
All Day: Shop Small Business Saturday at Princeton’s local shops and restaurants
8:00 am – 3:00 pm: Festival of Trees, Silent Auction, Holiday Bake Sale and Second-Hand Item Sale at Community Hall in City Park
Time TBD: Mrs. Claus’ Kitchen at Princeton Public School. Enjoy scrumptious dining delights and raffles, plus a visit from Santa.
9:00 am – 3:00 pm: Holiday Bounty Craft Fair, Princeton High School  download vendor application
9:00 am – 4:00 pm: Hunting Studio Glass Open House, live glass blowing demos, art, and gifts, W5257 Oak Tree Ln.
Sunday, December 1

LIGHTS ON WATER STREET ELECTRICAL HOLIDAY PARADE
Friday Nov. 29th at 6 PM

Line up starts at the National Exchange Bank on Water St. Tree Lighting, caroling, and complimentary hot chocolate & cookies immediately follow the parade in the Princeton City Parking Lot.

FLOAT AND DECORATING CONTESTS

Join the festivities!  Help make our city “jolly and bright” and WIN BIG! Businesses and floats are asked to follow this year’s theme, Christmas In the Movies, but residents don’t have to.

Business Decorating Prizes
1st place: 1 free year of Chamber dues ($150 value)
2nd place: 1/2 year
3rd place: $25 Chamber Bucks

Residential Decorating Prizes
1st place: $100 in Chamber Bucks
2nd place: $50
3rd place: $25

Best Float Awards
1st place: $500
2nd place: $250
3rd place: $100

HOLIDAY BOUNTY CRAFT FAIR
Saturday, Nov. 30, 2024 | 9am-3pm

Large craft fair held at the Princeton Public School. If you are interested in becoming a vendor, please complete the 2024 VENDOR APPLICATION. Vendor applications are due by Mon. Nov. 25.
